Circular A2Z: Hi-Cone

CIRCULAR ECONOMY

As I’ve been exploring circularity in businesses for this series, I’ve come across countless innovative ideas that redefine how we manage waste and resources.
One example that really stood out to me is
Hi-Cone, the company behind the plastic ring carriers used to hold cans of drinks or beer together.

Hi-Cone is working to change that with their 𝐑𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐌𝐞 initiative, a program designed to collect used plastic ring carriers and turn them into new ones—closing the loop and reducing waste.

♻️ 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞

𝐑𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐌𝐞 operates in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Spain, and Mexico, making it easy for individuals to contribute. Whether it’s through retail collection boxes or a pre-paid mailing option,
Hi-Cone ensures these materials are properly processed and reintegrated into the economy.

Hi-Cone isn’t just recycling—they’re driving meaningful change by:
Incorporating post-consumer recycled (PCR) content into their products.

⭕ 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬.
⭕ 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬.

🌟 What inspires me most about
Hi-Cone is their belief that small, everyday actions—like properly recycling plastic ring carriers—can collectively create a significant impact.

Let’s take part! Whether it’s recycling or spreading awareness, we all have a role to play in building a circular economy.

What if we implement a "properly sorting" plastics initiative in our community to make a difference?
